About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on, strategically minded Development Manager to lead our software engineering teams in Limassol, Cyprus. In this role, you'll own the delivery of high-quality software, on time and within scope, while shaping a culture built on technical excellence, continuous improvement, and strong ownership across your teams.

You'll act as the critical link between product vision and engineering execution, partnering closely with Architects, fellow Development Managers, and our Product, Delivery, and QA teams to turn strategy into shipped, reliable software across our Angular, React, Flutter, Java, and Strapi CMS platforms.

Key Responsibilities

People & Delivery Leadership (~60%)

• Team Leadership — Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers; set clear expectations, support professional development, and build a high-performing engineering culture.

• Development Management — Own the end-to-end software development lifecycle for your teams, ensuring projects are scoped, planned, and developed on time, on budget, and to quality standards.

• Agile Execution — Drive Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives; remove blockers and ensure continuous delivery velocity.

• Stakeholder Management — Communicate progress, risks, and technical decisions clearly to senior leadership, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Hiring & Onboarding — Partner with Talent Acquisition to hire top engineering talent; lead technical interviews and ensure effective onboarding of new team members.

Technical Direction & Craft (~40%)

• Technical Oversight — Guide technical direction and code quality standards across our Angular, React, and Flutter front-end applications, Java back-end services, and Strapi CMS-driven content platforms.

• Architecture Partnership — Partner with Architects on system design decisions, code reviews, and technical trade-offs to ensure scalable, maintainable solutions across the stack, including CPG-related systems.

• Process Improvement — Identify and drive improvements in engineering workflows, tooling, code quality, and team efficiency.

• Hands-On Involvement — Stay close enough to the codebase to unblock engineers, evaluate technical risk, and make informed build-vs-buy and platform decisions.

Qualifications & Experience

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in an engineering management or technical lead role.

• Proven ability to manage and develop engineering teams in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.

• Strong technical background in software development (back-end, full-stack, or platform engineering preferred), ideally with exposure to Angular, React, Flutter, Java, or Strapi CMS.

• Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and software delivery best practices.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience recruiting and retaining engineering talent.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
